In 1918 the world faced one of the worst pandemics in modern history, the Spanish Flu. It infected an estimated 500 million people worldwide. This virus killed an estimated 20 – 50 million people, including some 675,000 Americans.
Today we are faced with a new pandemic, the Coronavirus (Covid-19). Just like some people today, some didn’t take the Spanish Flu virus seriously. So when the second wave of the virus hit American shores in the summer of 1918, it was devastating.
Let’s not make the same mistake again, this is why we urge you to please follow all guidelines given during this pandemic. Do it for your family, friends, and your community. We will get through this together!
