As we face this pandemic, scammers are looking for opportunities to take advantage of this situation. Make sure to keep your guard up with any suspicious calls, emails, and texts. If somebody calls you saying they need your bank information to deposit your stimulus check, that’s a scam. Watch out for anyone offering a cure or to reserve a vaccine for you, that’s a scam. Be aware of scammers setting up fake testing sites hoping to scam you with a fake Coronavirus test and take your medical information to start billing your insurance company. These are only a few scams recently reported to AARP.
Anybody can be a victim, but unfortunately the elderly are more vulnerable. This why is important to watch out for them.
